When I was 8 years old I got adopted and now it has been 4 years. I think my family is great. I have an older brother in Russia. He is 24 years old. I miss him. Some day I want to visit him. I think being adopted is sooo cool.
I love it. When I was at the orphanage there was no one there for me but now I have the best family. Still I have a hard time because people make fun of me. They say that is not your mom, that is your fake mom but I do not care because I know that is my real mom.
The picture is from my very first day home in my new family.
I will write more later!

Hi Galya,
My name is Amy or "Trouwbottom" for short:). I know your family from when you lived in New Jersey, we went to the same church.
I love your new blog, it is so pretty, just like you! I will pray for you that people stop teasing you, your mom IS your mom, don't ever forget that, she's as REAL as they come!!!! My 9 year old daughter struggles with kinda the same thing since she does not have a dad who is around, some kids tease her but she knows that God IS her dad so that makes her feel better!
Welcome to the bloggin world, I'm so happy you are here!!!
Love Amy

My wife and I are working on adopting three children (siblings) from Kyrgyzstan (under Russia and next to China). I'm so glad you are doing so well with your family, and I look forward to reading more about your story in the future [smile].
