At The Hotel

We were in the van for a long time. Then we were there. My mom and dad were waiting for me and my brother. When the van stopped we jumped in my moms and dads arms. I was so happy to be with them but I was scared too because the people in the orphanage told me and my brother that they were a bad family for us and they said that they are going to hurt me. I was worried that they would hurt me and my brother.

When got to the hotel, my mom gave me a bath and we ate. Then it was time to go to bed. Me and my brother stayed up the whole night because we were afraid that if we went to sleep our mom and dad will kill us. That is what they told us would happen in the orphanage. That was not true at all. In the morning we ate breakfast. We went back to the hotel. My mom gave me lip gloss and a purse. Then she gave us a fake tattoos and she put it on me and my brother's arm.

I thought the tattoos were very cool and my brother did too.So I was thinking they are nice and they are not hurting us. I was feeling like they are good parents and I felt good around them. I did not know about how my brother was feeling about all of it but I was feeling good around them. We went to a flea market and we bought Russian dolls and hats. I thought the Russian dolls were cool.

A few days later it was time to go home and meet the family.

Now I think my mom and dad are the best parents that you can ever get. I love them soooo much. I am so happy that they are my mom and dad I think that is so cool that I am adopted. I love it!!!

I remember praying for you and your family all those years ago when this happened. It is neat to hear your thoughts. Thanks for sharing.

That's horrible that people would tell you those things about your adoptive family! People shouldn't lie to kids.

I've heard that sometimes people at orphanages can tell you bad information, but I hadn't heard about this. I'm so glad they weren't telling you the truth and that you got to be with such a loving family [smile].

Mikey asked me when he hopped out of the van if I was going to kill him ... so there is much truth to this ... thank you for sharing from your prespective Galya!

Also I would like everyone to note that tattoos are instrumental in the adoption process. A good tattoo will go a long way :-)

You poor thing! My children were very lucky because their caregivers were very happy that they were going to get good parents. They were happy and looking forward to seeing us.

I think that those people had heard some bad things, and really were worried about you. People can believe all sorts of nonsense.

But you have a wonderful family! I hope you write to your orphanage and send photographs and let everyone know how you are! Think how much happier that might make them, if they were afraid for you.
